dosvidanya day Format updates

We have some important updates regarding our next highly anticipated Dosvidanya Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout release.  The hugely popular annual event will now happen towards the end of February every year, so our next Dosvidanya release will be on February 22, 2025.  While the new date is a change from our traditional release date in November, we're also enthusiastic about several new format changes to the event and beer brand which the new release month facilitates.  We understand this may come as a surprise, but we appreciate your understanding. 

This adjustment became necessary as our brewery's production volume has doubled over the past year, resulting in our team brewing and packaging more beer for distribution nationwide, and even more so this fall.  While we are very excited about this rapid expansion & growth, it’s necessitated our reimagining of how and when to celebrate some long-standing traditions even better.  Rest assured - this decision was not made lightly.  However, we're dedicated to bringing you the best experience and beers possible, and this shift in the annual Dosvidanya release timeline allows us to do just that.

For example, over the years, we've packaged our highly awarded Dosvidanya beers in various bottle and can formats.  Still, we're often told (and we agree) that the bottle format is the most desired vessel for cellaring Dosvidanya over a longer time to age & enjoy for perhaps years to come.  So, as part of our changes to the annual Dosvidanya release, we will return to packaging all variants in bottles for our February release, making them even better suited for cellaring and sharing with friends.  Another transformation to the brand is that Dosvidanya will return to a company-only release like it was in the beginning.  While there still will be limited Dosvidanya draft releases in parts of the country beginning next year, the Dosvidanya bottles will only be available at our two DESTIHL locations in Normal, IL.

Additionally, with so much anticipation for the beer each year, we have always started Dosvidanya Day in the early morning and ended in the mid-late afternoon.  However, with our new event format, we will begin the beer release later in the afternoon and continue with the festivities through the evening. 

In the meantime, we have planned some fantastic events to make our traditional event weekend unforgettable.  The weekend before Thanksgiving, which has always been reserved for our Dosvidanya release, will now feature three days of even more beer, food, and live music events.  Stay tuned for exciting new event details to be announced soon! 

This reimagining of the date and format for Dosvidanya Day will be an opportunity to create an even more memorable celebration!  Your support and passion for our beers mean the world to us, and we can't wait to raise a glass with you soon.  Cheers to new beginnings and unforgettable beers!

Dosvidanya is widely recognized as one of the best Barrel-Aged Imperial Stouts on the market, having won several medals. Most recently, the Silver Medal at the 2022 Great American Beer Fest (GABF®) in the Chili Beer Category for Dosvidanya Mexican Chocolate. Winning back-to-back Gold Medals in the most competitive Strong Stout category and Best-in-Show accolades at the Festival of Barrel-Aged Beer ('FoBAB') in 2015 (for Dosvidanya) and Runner-Up Best in Show in 2016 (for Dosvidanya Rye). In addition, Dosvidanya is the 2015 GABF® Bronze Medal winner in the Wood and Barrel-Aged Strong Stout category. Dosvidanya has also been named a "Best Beer in Illinois" by 'Craft Beer and Brewing Magazine.'

'INSIDE THE DOLL' (event details)

Dosvidanya Day is a celebration of these great beers and an experience, not just a beer release. During Dosvidanya Day, attendees get exclusive access to sample and purchase our brewery-only Dosvidanya releases and walk through our state-of-the-art production space. Guests can enjoy pop-up bar locations throughout the event and be entertained by local live music in our Barrel Room. Several event ticket packages will be made available, including different Dosvidanya variants, the ability to bring a guest, and the chance to buy additional bottles while supplies last. This private event, held in our production space and Barrel Room, is for individuals 21+ years of age with a valid ID. Ticket availability is limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis. The Beer Hall will be open to the public during the event.

Proxies are allowed to pick up orders with a printed or digital copy of the ticket and a valid ID showing they are 21+ years of age.
