Gather your friends & join us for an evening in The Barrel Room, creating your custom candle with Farm to Wick!

Tickets are $40 and include instructions, all candle-making supplies, and a complimentary beverage from DESTIHL. The class lasts one hour, and there is additional time for your candle to set. During the setting, you can enjoy DESTIHL food and drinks with your friends until your candle is ready. It is sure to be a great time!

The Barrel Room opens at 6:15 pm. The class starts at 6:30 pm. Come early to enjoy food & drinks in the Beer Hall before the class!

Find your inner peace with a unique themed yoga class at the Brewery! Instructor Nancy Nork will rev up your energy, then slow your soul in the Barrel Room with an hour of soothing yoga by candlelight to gently bridge one year into the next. Afterward, cool down with a refreshing post-class beverage on us. Plus, all participants will receive a hand-poured candle courtesy of Cedar & Scotch.

The rebirth of Backyard Tire Fire springs forth with an undeniable burst of musical energy. The Midwestern guitar rock unit is back with “Black Dirt Blue Sky,” their first collection of new recordings in 10 years.

The music radiates a spirit of renewal, like a John Deere tractor turning over a patch of rich soil. And the musicians pack more passion into the material than a team of horses in their prime, eager to work. The recordings show how much bandmates Edward David Anderson, Matt Anderson, Scott Tipping and John Ganser are happy to play new songs together after a decade-long hiatus.

“These tunes and this lineup are by far the best this band has ever sounded,” lead vocalist and songwriter Edward David Anderson said.

“Black Dirt Blue Sky” is loaded with moments that coax smiles and recall good memories. “Carefree Kids” inspires nostalgia, while “Alejandro Escovedo” is both a wry ode to the mystery of dreams and a nod to the iconic rocker. The band’s experience touring the USA and recording a series of timeless alt-country records in the early aughts informs the present-day energy of tunes like “Little Wren” and the music shines with beauty and joy, like light at the end of a long tunnel.

“It's a story of redemption and perseverance, of second chances,” Anderson said. “The pandemic even tried to foil it, but we wouldn't have it. We hunkered down and put this beautiful recording together in home studios throughout Illinois and beyond.”

Join the Yoga Lab for a 60-minute Power Yoga class in the Barrel Room at DESTIHL Brewery. 

Power Yoga is a practice of building strength, flexibility, and endurance in your physical body.   After class, enjoy a complimentary coffee bar & chef-inspired energy bites by DESTIHL.

Save the date for an exclusive barrel-aged beer dinner in the Barrel Room! This unique evening begins with a guided tour of the production brewery, a welcome beertail, starters in the Barrel Room, and four thoughtfully crafted courses created by Senior Executive Chef Jacob Sartin and his talented team. 

Each course will be paired with a Dosvidanya Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout variant, highlighting this award-winning beer. Guests will hear first-hand about the origins and character behind each beer pairing. Guests who purchased tickets to our Dosvidanya Day release party on Saturday, February 22nd, can pick up their beer allotments and purchase additional bottles/cans at the dinner.

Guests can enjoy pop-up bar locations throughout the event and be entertained by local live music in our Barrel Room. Several event ticket packages will be available, including different Dosvidanya variants, the ability to bring a guest, and the chance to buy additional bottles while supplies last. This private event, held in our production space and Barrel Room, is for individuals 21+ years of age with a valid ID. Ticket availability will be limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis. The Beer Hall will be open to the public during the event.

THE HENHOUSE PROWLERS ARE BLUEGRASS AMBASSADORS.

Founded two decades ago with the simple desire to play original and powerful bluegrass, this Chicago-bred quartet now finds themselves at the intersection of performance, diplomacy, and education.

Working with the U.S. State Department and under their own nonprofit, Bluegrass Ambassadors, the Prowlers have toured over 25 countries across the globe. The group's experiences with people and musicians across Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East have shaped the band’s worldview and broadened the group’s direction towards bridging cultural gaps with music, educational programs, and workshops. Using traditional American music as a foundation, connecting folk music, customs, and history the world over, the Prowlers incorporate international elements into their already robust repertoire of unique traditional American music.

Whether playing live or presenting seminars, wherever they are, the Henhouse Prowlers find and spread the commonality we share as human beings through the universal language of music.
