Nectar Valley is a young 4-piece string band with a musically diverse background and an insatiable energy. Originating from Owensboro, Kentucky, the group initially formed from a handful of friends picking around and jamming for fun. Now based out of Louisville, Kentucky, the group has evolved into what it is today with Landon Kotarek on the mandolin and vocals, Tristan Howard on the guitar and vocals, Austin Quinton on the banjo and vocals, and Ronnie Saxon on the upright bass and vocals.

Our free, live shows take place on the front lawn of DESTIHL Brewery & Beer Hall. Lawn chairs are welcome and encouraged at all shows. No outside food, drinks, or coolers are permitted. Join us on National Beer Lover's Day to celebrate the world of beer, its grains, hops, and brewing methods! This unique experience includes fascinating insights, delectable beer tastings, and a DESTIHL souvenir!

Our knowledgeable guide will take you on a behind-the-scenes journey through our production brewery during this tour. Discover the intricate process of crafting our award-winning brews, our brewery, and the passion that goes into every batch. Throughout the tour, it's time for four carefully selected beer tastings, chosen to showcase the diverse flavors and styles we have to offer. Your guide will share their expertise and help you appreciate the nuances of each brew. Whether you are a seasoned beer connoisseur or just beginning to explore the craft beer world, this experience will leave a lasting impression. Each attendee will receive a complimentary logo pint glass coolie to take home.

TICKETS: $15/person - TOUR TIMES: 12:30, 2:00 & 3:30 pm

EACH TOUR IS LIMITED TO 30 PARTICIPANTS. Please bring a valid ID, wear closed-toe shoes, and meet by the main brewery entrance near the fireplace 10 minutes before your scheduled tour time starts.

The Kilborn Alley Blues Band does gritty Chicago blues and southern fried soul for all the generations of blues lovers. This music speaks for itself; better still, it convinces you to listen.

Instructor Nancy Nork will rev up your energy, then slow your soul in the Barrel Room with an hour of yoga by candlelight. Then, cool down with a refreshing post-class beverage on us. All participants will receive a hand-poured candle courtesy of Cedar & Scotch.

From early rock & roll and hall of fame blues, to Jerry Garcia; it is music for the Soul!

THE KING OF MARS is for fans of The Red Hot Chili Peppers, rock guitar riffs, pop hooks, and for anyone with some angst left in their soul. Created and led by frontman, guitarist, songwriter, and lead vocalist, John Bruner, The King of Mars has evolved through stages of instrumentation and consistently features Chicago’s best talent. Fans have brought TKOM touring across the country and constantly keeps them inspired. New releases, music videos, festivals, concerts and more are scheduled throughout 2024.

We're partnering with the U.S. Steinholding Association and the German American Central Society (Peoria, IL) to bring you the inaugural Illinois Steinholding State Championship! Come join us and cheer on your favorite competitor!

The best Steinholders from across the state will come together at the brewery in Normal, IL, on Saturday, October 12th, 2024. The winners will make Illinois sporting history when they are crowned the first-ever Illinois State Steinholding Champions! They will each receive over $500 worth of prizes! This year's State Champions will also receive a full Oktoberfest outfit provided by Bavaria Trachten.

How do I qualify for the Finals?

You can compete at our Oktoberfest Weekend during the Men's and Women's Qualifying Round Competitions on September 13th and 14th, 2024, at 6:00 and 8:00 p.m.
