In his 20-year career as a singer-songwriter Dan Hubbard has released 10 studio albums, toured extensively throughout the United States, and shared the stage with countless national
acts. Hubbard’s music has been acclaimed as “beautiful, powerful, and often seemingly effortless.” (Independent Clauses)

The Illinois native released his 10th studio work in October ‘25 - a six song EP titled Vol 1: Letting Go. This is the first in a two-volume set. Vol 1: Letting Go features an eclectic mix of songs, with Hubbard venturing into sub genres of R&B, Soul, and Pop. Three songs from this work were selected as semifinalists in the 2024 International Songwriting Competition in three
separate genre categories.

Bathtub Hooch — jam // soul // rock & roll from the 217

Garrett Burris (lead vox/guitar) has rejoined forces with long-time collaborator, Austin Stark (drums), and new bassist Corey Neidigh to bring back the sights and sounds of Bathtub Hooch. The blues-infused rock and jam group is excited to relaunch the project for 2026 after performing across Illinois and beyond from 2014-2019.

The trio weaves together a heady blend of funk, rock, Americana, and blues while they jam in and around each other. From imaginative originals, to classic covers made fresh again, Bathtub Hooch brings new energy to a music landscape begging for passion and realness from its performers.

Austin’s consistent, yet free-flowing drum style gives each track a unique energy. Corey’s diverse influences brings a mix of funk, bar blues, and pop punk that both support and shine. Garrett’s stellar vocals bring it all home, laying down heavy riffs and killer shreds on electric guitar.

Old Shoe is a five-piece Americana roots rock band based out of Chicago, Illinois. Established in 2010, Old Shoe has steadily forged the Midwest scene with its organic grooves and growing loyal fanbase. The band’s humble beginnings started with weekly residencies at local Chicago bars, and quickly grew to high profile festival appearances at events like Summer Camp and Wakarusa, and opening slots for artists like Bruce Hornsby and Leftover Salmon. The band has even produced 13 annual installments of its own festival, Shoe Fest, drawing national acts and thousands of attendees from across the country.

Peace, Love & Yoga brings a slower start to DeadHead Daze weekend. Instructor Selina Pritchard leads an hour-long session of stretching and breathing on the Beer Hall lawn. No experience needed.

After the session, a complimentary drink is waiting. $12 per person. Just bring a mat.

Whether you're a lifelong theater fan or just love belting out show tunes in the car, this night is designed to be fun for casual fans and Broadway buffs alike.

Move-in week means red gear, cold beer, and a walk through the brewery. Throw on your red and come see how the beer actually gets made: tanks, hops, the whole operation- no PowerPoint required.

Tour ends where all good tours should: a tasting of four of our beers. Ask questions, take the souvenir pint glass home, and use it for literally every beer you drink from now on.

Tour is limited to 30 participants per tour. Bring a valid ID, wear closed-toe shoes, and meet at the main brewery entrance near the fireplace 10 minutes before your tour time.

FEATURING: LUCKY PICKERS

Lucky Pickers is an acoustic folk-grass band from Northern Illinois featuring singer/songwriters Despina Pafralides & Caleb Peters. The group started small as a casual side project to stay busy while not touring with their full-time bands, Miles Over Mountains & Fox Crossing Stringband. They quickly grew into playing more full-band shows with a rotating cast of Chicagoland's talented musicians. 

These seasoned multi-instrumentalists team up for a vibrant blend of Americana and bluegrass-driven tunes featuring tasteful vocal harmonies, skillful instrumentation, and a passion for live performance. They can effortlessly shift from mellow, folk-inspired tunes to upbeat bluegrass numbers, or whatever the occasion may call for. Their song selection runs deep, ranging from traditional music all the way to popular modern hits, originals, and everything in between. 

As a live act, the group has been praised for its energetic performances, often featuring a full-band setup with added instruments such as upright bass, dobro, and banjo. Whether they're playing at intimate venues or larger festivals, their sound is sure to captivate audiences with warmth, authenticity, and infectious enthusiasm. Join us in the Barrel Room where yoga instructor Selina Pritchard collaborates with Hannah of 'Flowting Feathers' to combine the beauty of yoga, the benefit of breath, and the power of sound. 

Selina will start the class with deep breathing and gentle movement, then Hannah will guide you on a journey inward with sound healing frequencies that promote balance and connection to the body. Selina will conclude with a calming meditation to leave you feeling relaxed and at peace. 

Advance ticket required. Each ticket includes access to the private class and a hand-poured candle by Cedar & Scotch. Don't forget to bring your own mat! 

FEATURING: LUNAR TICKS

The band is influenced by the songwriting and studio experimentation of 90's and 2000's innovative Alternative/Indie rock bands like Wilco, My Morning Jacket, The Flaming Lips, Ween, Yo La Tengo, Pavement, and Dr. Dog, and fuses it with genre-bending, progressive musicality, and exploratory improvisations in the vein of The Grateful Dead, Phish, and Umphrey's McGee. 

Each setlist is formed from their diverse and expansive song list of originals and covers; debuting new material at almost every show. Extended improvisational passages can turn on a dime or meditate and unfurl in unexpected ways. Lunar Ticks aim to create a unique and memorable experience every time they pick up their instruments.

The 2nd Annual Dachshund Races are back for Oktoberfest Weekend at DESTIHL Beer Hall!

Race registration is required in advance and is $10 per dog. Spots are limited, so reserve your spot early!

Handler Requirements:
Each dog needs one handler to release and one handler to receive. Receivers may use toys, treats, or verbal encouragement to call their dog. Throwing objects is not allowed. If you’re bringing multiple dogs, please bring enough people to safely manage them while you’re participating in the races.

FEATURING: ZOOFUNKYOU

Zoofunkyou is a genre-bending blues-funk phenomenon that has brought their quick-witted sonic expressionism and meaningful melodic lyrics to audiences all around the country. Based in Chicago, Zoofunkyou’s gumbo of finely crafted musical elements is a recipe they’ve been perfecting since 2013, with different ingredients and instrumentalists interspersed along the way. Zoofunkyou (or “Zoofü”) is dedicated to spreading love through music and creating inclusive events where people from all walks of life can feel safe and bring the emotional gratitude the band exudes from the stage home with them. In the current iteration, founder Derek Dare, Matthew Coglianese, and Jake Hennessy lead an epic ensemble consisting of a total of 5-9 members depending on the performance. As of late, they are typically joined by James Kries or Brenden Cabrera on Keys, and Nathan Reider on Alto Saxophone; and when they go for the “full band sound,” they are joined by Connor Bernhard on Trumpet, Matt Kowalski on trombone, and Alex Santilli on Percussion. With a wide repertoire of both gripping original music and tasteful covers, their live shows have proven time and time again to enthrall, grow and inspire a vibrant fan base affectionately known as the Zoofü Crew.
