Chicago Farmer (Cody Diekhoff) brings Midwest storytelling to life with songs rooted in real people, long roads, and small-town grit. Raised in Central Illinois and inspired by legends like John Prine, his blend of folk, humor, and heart feels as genuine as it gets. After decades on the road, Chicago Farmer delivers a live show that’s part concert, part conversation—perfect for a night under the lights at DESTIHL.
“I love Chicago Farmer’s singing and playing and songs, but it’s the intention behind the whole of his work that moves me to consider him the genuine heir to Arlo Guthrie or Ramblin’ Jack Elliott. He knows the shell game that goes on under folk music… which is sacred to me. Chicago Farmer is my brother; if you like me, you’ll love him.” - Todd Snider
“After a few listens to the record it becomes apparent that Chicago Farmer has a refreshingly firm grip on where he comes from. The songs are covered to the elbows in dirt from the fields and smell of the sweaty factory floors. If the Midwest is looking for a voice, the search is over.” - No Depression

FEATURING: ZOOFUNKYOU
Zoofunkyou is a genre-bending blues-funk phenomenon who have brought their quick-witted sonic expressionism and meaningful melodic lyrics to audiences all around the country. Based in Chicago, Zoofunkyou’s gumbo of finely crafted musical elements is a recipe that they’ve been working to perfect since 2013 with different ingredients and instrumentalists interspersed along the way. Zoofunkyou (or “Zoofü”) is dedicated to spreading love through music and creating inclusive events where people from all walks of life can feel safe and bring the emotional gratitude the band exudes from the stage home with them. In the current iteration, founder Derek Dare, Matthew Coglianese, and Jake Hennessy lead an epic ensemble consisting of a total of 5-9 members depending on the performance. As of late, they are typically joined by James Kries or Brenden Cabrera on Keys, and Nathan Reider on Alto Saxophone, and when they go for the “full band sound” they are joined by Connor Bernhard on Trumpet, Matt Kowalski on Trombone and Alex Santilli on Percussion. With a wide repertoire of both gripping original music and tasteful covers, their live shows have proven time and time again to enthrall, grow and inspire a vibrant fan base affectionately known as the Zoofü Crew.

FEATURING: MERRY TRAVELERS
Merry Travelers are a sonic vessel for storytelling, connection, and good vibrations. The ensemble weaves a lush tapestry of soul, pop, jazz, and psychedelic folk into a sound that is velvety and vibrant. Their music bridges the gap between vintage nostalgia and something built specifically for our time. The heart of the group is fueled by the poetic songwriting of Holly Monet and the groove-heavy intuition of multi-instrumentalist Charlie Harris. Together, they lead a group of top-notch musicians who balance sophisticated composition with fluid improvisation. They have spent years honing a live experience that provokes shared wonder, joy, self empowerment, and perhaps even an urge to dance.
